After immigrating from Burma with only a few dollars to his name, Phillip Maung started Hissho Sushi at his dining room table. Funding the business on credit cards, 15 years later Hissho Sushi is now a $50 million dollar business with a presence in 30 states. With outposts at college campuses, grocery stores and hospitals (among others), they train chefs and manage food supplies locally in Charlotte, North Carolina before distributing to more than 400 sushi bars across the country.
